44 victims of violence in Ferizaj, social care institutions activated

Domestic violence was the subject of discussion this morning, among important local activists representing municipal, social, security, justice and civil society institutions. The Co-ordination Mechanism Against Family Violence that presents the inter-institution foundation for handling this phenomenon discussed the annual working report in this respect and measures taken by responsible institutions in preventing domestic violence throughout the Ferizaj region.
The municipality's deputy chairman, at the same time, co-ordinator of this mechanism, Naim Ferati, said the municipal executive has taken all necessary steps in addressing this problem, mobilizing all relevant social infrastructure in response to needs resulting from this phenomenon.
He added that even support for various social groups, as well as direct support for victims of domestic violence, has not been missed by the Ferizaj municipality throughout 2019.
Other participants at this annual meeting aimed at balancing institutional action on this phenomenon gave reports and analyzed the situation in their sectors.
From the shelter of domestic violence victims “My home” was announced that during 2019 to date there were 44 cases to which housing and the entire rehabilitation program was offered.
Similar statistics also had representatives of health institutions, unlike that of the State Prosecutor, who was declared to be 162 recorded cases of domestic violence prosecuted at Ferizaj's Founding Prosecutor.
The outcome of this meeting for this highly significant phenomenon for society and all state institutions emerged from the sphere of higher social awareness that has made the rise in the denouncing of such cases, as well as the need for sustainable financial stability and deeper co-ordination among institutions responsible for the treatment and prevention of this phenomenon.
