In the 89th election, which he gained convincingly, counter-Candidids were held by Mihaj Kertes, Zoran Pjanic and Miroslav Djordjevic. 80.36 per cent has been the result of Milosevic's victory, which had taken power to shape Serbia's destiny.

In power, he has remained until 5 October 2000, when he won Vojislav Kostunica, who was confirmed as president, writes Telegraf.rs, broadcasts Klan Kosova.
