Unbelievable but true: Lutfi Haziri, the strongest point to unite LDK with VV

The future government of the Republic of Kosovo, which on the basis of the preliminary results of the 6 October elections, is expected to be led by Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, as it seems plans for the 100 per cent fee against the goods of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to replace with the reciprocity measure in this way leading to Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

According to Vetevendosje Movement chairmanship member Albulen Haxhiu, for passing the tax on reciprocity against Serbian and Bosnian goods has compliance between the two LVV and LDK subjects.

According to her, towards the Serbian state with the Kurti government there will be reciprocity in all areas, be it economic, political and commercial.

“E we have seen as a proper measure that is also internationally recognised reciprocity in this case political, economic and trade reciprocity with Serbia. Therefore, future governance to the extent or decision to the fee will be replaced by full reciprocity. We have discussed this at the last meeting we had with LDK representatives, the positions agree because they too have had it as a promise during the election campaign reciprocity, but I believe it is an advancement in this sense because even the Vetevendosje Movement will engage in reciprocity”, Haxhiu said.

Meanwhile, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, also Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer, who said two days ago that the tax has become an obstacle.

My “expectations for Kurti assuming he becomes prime minister is that he will be a good partner for the United States of America, that he will work closely with us in search of our common goals and goals. That he will realise that dialogue with Serbia is important not only for Kosovo, but also for the United States, and to integrate it into his own thinking and find a way back to the negotiating table, including on the issue of tax addressing, which has become an obstacle”, he said.

Pro removing the tax and imposing reciprocity measures with the Serbian state has also indicated other connoisseurs of economic issues, Mustafe Kadriaj, who said the tax on the political side was good but continuing the unlimited tax brought frustration of reports between Kosovo and the international community.

According to him, Serbia's most favourable option is to lift the fee 100 per cent.

I think that even with recommendations from the European Union, the international community as well as the world trade organisations, reciprocity measures are always current because the moment one state automatically steps to protect the local economy or local production. In this direction I think that Kosovo has to impose reciprocity measures because we also have to live and within CEFTA as a functional state ... Taksa has yet to be removed and with reciprocity measures maintaining the international partnership, especially with the US“, Kadrijaj stressed.

The 100 per cent limit to imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was imposed on 21 November 2018 by the outgoing government. The move came in response to the policies of these two states against Kosovo citizenship and its membership in international mechanisms and organisations./Periscopi/
