Tirana airport donates 1m euros

Tirana International Airport (TIA) announced today that it has donated 1m euros to support relief aid to people affected by the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that fell near Durres and Tirana on 26 November. The International Airport of Tirana and China Everright Limited express their heartfelt condolences to the victims of this tragedy, and our heartfelt prayers go to every Albanian who is suffering during these sad days,” the chairman of the TIA Administrative Council, Z. Richard Hu, on behalf of China Everright Limited.
“Based on the scale and complexity of this emergency, the airport will support Albania's government with a 1m-euro fund to help respond to the government's key priorities and help people in need,” added Mr. Hu.
The TIA staff has organised a team of volunteers who are assisting people living in camps that have been set up and successfully managed military flights that bring humanitarian aid through the airport. These operations are going smoothly.
