Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has shared the Presidential Medal of Merit, the World Bank Office in Kosovo, on the 20th anniversary of the World Bank Office in Kosovo and the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's membership in the organisation.
The president has handed this medal to Regimental Director for the Western Balkans Linda Van Gelder.
“Co-operation between Kosovo and the World Bank has been extremely good, and all projects funded by the World Bank have produced very good results in our economy and society”, President Thaci wrote on Facebook.

For the World Bank's contribution to Kosovo's economic development, on its 20th anniversary in Kosovo, and the 10th anniversary of our membership, the World Bank Office in Kosovo shared the Presidential Medal of Merits, which I handed over to Regional Director for the Western Balkans Linda Van Gelder.
Co-operation between Kosovo and the World Bank has been extremely good, and all projects funded by the World Bank have produced very good results in our economy and society. They have influenced the financial stability and economic growth of the Republic of Kosovo. HTH
