Thaci expresses disappointment with EU leaders, reminds them of the Yugoslav crisis's mistakes

Thaci has commented on the meeting he had with leaders of Western Balkan states last week with EU High Representative Frederica Mogherini.

During the week after we left, we held a business dinner in Brussels with Mrs. Mogher. All Western Balkan leaders related work experiences, challenges and confrontations for our countries' European future. It was the joint conclusion of Western Balkan leaders and a massive disappointment expressed over the European Union's concrete non-admission to the states of our region”, Thaci said in his profile in the Instagram.

He further stressed that a disappointment is conveyed to Kosovo, in particular to non-visa liberalisation, when we have met all the criteria. This, according to him, is happening because of the lack of European unity. But we have only one future, the European one.

“Therefore, the EU and its leaders, at this time of their lack of vision, must prove that they will not make the mistakes of the leaders of the EU's 90th beginnings at the time of the beginning of the Yugoslav crisis. Because, always in the Western Balkans, there are dangerous potential for peace, security and stability”, he added.

Thaci in this video has said that Kosovo wants to believe that the EU will start to change positively for Kosovo and the Western Balkans.
