The situation is calming down: Seismic swings in Albania are moving towards calming

Seismic activity in the country is heading towards calm. Seismologist Edmond Nushi points out that over a thousand steps have been recorded in the country since November 26th, but their magnitude has come sitting.

Nushi: The seismic activity area is very close to Tirana, so these events when they pass a certain threshold are felt by citizens and, as a result, fear. On the whole, activity is a relief. Even the following magnitudes are ever lower.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Olta Xhacka called on residents with damaged residences not to stay until the assessment is made.

In an appearance for the media, Xhacka announced that examinations of buildings will be conducted by Albanian and foreign experts.

Leave to the accommodation facilities, such as hundreds of beds in the best hotels in Durres, Tirana, Lezh, Sheng, or Beratapo for your relatives if you want, but leave until the investigation of the situation by experts because the situation in damaged housing is as dangerous today as the day of the great seismic shock. Today, the assessment of the risk of residences by Albanian and foreign experts has begun. 

According to Jakka, in total, according to preliminary assessments on the ground there are over 4 thousand residents who are unable to return to their homes.
