Scandal: 14 companies devised oil prices, profits exceeded 124 %

The Kosovo Competition Authority has held a media conference regarding the investigation for the price of oil derivatives.

AKK Chairman Valon Prestreshi has said they have investigated 16 companies in Kosovo.

According to him, the profiting of companies has exceeded 124%.

“16 companies operating in the market and this investigation has taken time so far and has not yet been final, but we have found that companies that have operated in the market in January have after a 9% benefit, while in the months November it has gone to 60% and in December the profit has gone to 124% only for the oil product”, he said.

He has also added that they answer only to the Parliament.

And according to him, the AKK sanction is to receive 10% of the annual profit.
