According to official Ottoman sources published long ago, or exactly the census that had occurred in 1905, then 950 thousand people had lived in Kosovo.
Of these, many of the inhabitants had been of Muslim faith, just as is seen in the sign published by historian Drancholl, a total of 595 thousand people.
Jomyslimians, meanwhile, had totaled 253 thousand people, while 105 thousand had been Serbs and 148 thousand Bulgarians.
“Religious situation in Kosovo early in the XX century according to official Ottoman sources published long ago: The census of the population in the villa of Thessaloniki, Kosovo and the Monastery based on religious affiliation carried out by the Ottoman Empire for 19/05/1906 is illustrated according to the following table”, Drancholi wrote.
