Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has said that Kosovo has not had to be self-disfellowshipped from the Ohrid Summit.
He has said that during a media conference, after holding this summit, stressing that he did not change the position that Serbia should recognise Kosovo's independence.
“Regional co-operation with countries in the region including Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which do not recognise Kosovo, does not mean that Albania has changed its attitude towards Serbia, and neither have I changed the position that Serbia should recognise Kosovo”.
“The failure to resolve this issue is no reason for Kosovo to self-exclude and it is not the reason for Kosovo and Albania not to protect state interests that go through co-operation, and not through self-recognition and isolation”.
The border gap between Western Balkan countries is not a mini-Schengen because it does not support me. We can call it Western-Balkan Schengen, which means that all citizens of this region have the right to move freely and without the absurd obstacles they have today and that they are turning to cost”.
