News of the opening of this exhibition has been made known through a Facebook release on the official page of the Library.
“Traavik cinematography Company. Info, in co-operation with the National Library of Kosovo “Peter Bogdani”, has opened the “Gardian exhibition of Paradise” following the premiere presentation of the exhibition in the town of Gjirokastra on Thursday.
This photographic installation presents moments of everydayness in North Korea that complements the image of the public already known by a static narrator for a country that, according to artist Traavik, can offer more than world-renowned stereotypes and ideology.
The famous Norwegian director, Morten Traavik, is precisely the character of his platform and trends against being raised in one of the most democratic states in the world and with cultural and ethnic diversity he manages to recognise, interpret through film, and perceive more deeply almost without judgments, a totalitarian system”, said in the release.
The director of the National Library of Kosovo, Fazli Gajraku, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, said that given the context of a past Kosovo, not a little face-to-face with totalitarianism and censorship, he decides to bring one of his most successful projects to Pristina -- “Guardians exhibit of Paradise”.
The exhibition became known it will stay in the National Library of Kosovo until November 11th, 2019.
The philosopher Blerim Latifi reacted to this subject during the day.
The same wrote that he had not initially believed when he was told that a large banner with Kim Jong Ili's saying has hung on the wall of the National Library.
A friend told me, but I didn't believe him! I went to see it myself and it was real. A huge banner with the saying of Kim Jong Ili, former communist dictator of North Korea and the father of current dictator Kim Jong Un, was hanging on the wall of the National Library “Peter Bogdani”. But the evil did not stop here: Two photographs of Kim Jong Ili were placed inside the library. I said to myself, "I'm dreaming or what's going on? No, it's not a dream! It is a reality, in Kosovo on November 5th, 2019, in the institution, which was founded to contribute to culture and freedom, is promoted by one of the worst dictators the world has known”, Latifi said.
