From the Montenegrin government, they have said the demarcation issue has ended with the signing of the agreement, yet they have confirmed that the Joint Workers' Body will be formed, which will deal with the demarcation of the Kosovo border of Montenegro.
But neither from the Montenegrin side nor from the Kosovar side have shown exactly when this will happen. Meanwhile, the two subjects that are holding talks on forming the new government in Kosovo, the LDK's LVV, have come up with opposing positions on this issue, the newspaper “Zri” writes today.
More than four years have passed since Montenegro and Kosovo have signed the Demarket Agreement.
Shortly before the demarcation was voted into the Kosovo Parliament (2018), the presidents of the two countries had signed a document under which the parties agreed on forming a collaborative joint body, which would identify the eventual disagreements over the border demarcation.
Now when nearly two years have passed since the adoption of the agreement in the Kosovo Assembly, no concrete steps have been taken towards forming the working body, which would address the border line issue, writes further the newspaper “Voice”.
Despite the fact that from the outgoing government, no response has been given to the issue, from the Montenegrin government has told the newspaper that the demarcation has ended with signing the agreement.
Despite this from the Montenegrin side, they have confirmed that the Joint Workers' Body will be formed, which will mark the state border.
During the border demarcation, as they have expressed, there will also be opportunities to conduct the eventual corrections of the border line.
Meanwhile by the Vetevendosje Movement, the winning election party, have said that the first thing to do about demarcation with Montenegro, from the moment LVV comes to power, will be an investigation of all that happened with the previous commission, which was headed by Murat Meha.
