In Campus of the University of Pristina, excavations have begun under suspicion that there may be morto remains of those killed during the war in Kosovo,
Prosecutor Drita Hajdari said how many warrants for excavations in this part have come following a citizen's testimony that she saw lifeless bodies buried in this section.
“As you know in this country there has been work, digging early according to witnesses. Acting on information, the D.A.'s task is to verify this information and always act the way we order excavations despite the fact that this location has been dug several times. A witness has confirmed that at this location people are being buried”, Hajdari said.
Jahja Luka from the Government Commission on Undiscovered Persons said they hope to find mortore remains in this section so that family members can have a grave and know where their loved ones are.
It's been dug into another location and skeka after being found, witnesses have said that here during the war and suspected. Something happened, but we can't know exactly. We're hoping that today we will find mortor remains. It is also a relief for family members, because they too have agreed to find remains to know where their beloved” graves are, she said, Online Economics reported.
And we can't say how many people, citizens around these buildings have testified and the Attorney has ordered that they be dug into this suspected section. There are two locations, the other is at the top of the building, depending on how the work is going to go to”.
He has also told of excavations being conducted at the Muslim cemetery in northern Mitrovica and of excavations that have been cut off in Serbia.
We haven't stopped working for a day, we've been at the cemetery in northern Mitrovica and two others in Serbia, which have been suspended. Serbia, if not, is sending us to countries where there are millions of inert remains and digging is impossible. Crime does not age, and today there are safe mortar remains even in Serbia”, Luka said.
He also expressed condolences to earthquake victims in Albania.
