The European Union is alongside Albania in these difficult times that are passing through the earthquake. The message comes from European Commission Chairman Ursula von der Leyen, who in a post on Twitter writes.
“I just talked to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who told me about the difficult situation after the earthquake. I have great respect for Albanian citizens who have remained calm despite circumstances. I want them to know that the EU is next to them with compassion and action”.
The devastating earthquake that struck Albania on November 26th left behind 51 people dead and more than 900 others injured.
Meanwhile, material damage is incalculable.
