At the end of October of this year, the national boxing championship was organized in the town of Shkodra.
Klevis Celay, from Vlora, managed to receive the national 50 - pound [50 kg] weight championship award.
He has been practicing this sport for eight years, which is everything to him.
Klevis comes from an extremely poor family, he's had to work at an early age.
Difficult conditions forced her to keep her from going to high school.
To support the family, he has been working at the Vlora city bars since the age of 12.
Boxing for him was passion and “rescue” from the bitter reality.
He's started everything on autodacts with two gloves and a bag of kindness.
He only trains in nature.
Winning the national championship was not easy.
It took several months of intensive training and a rigorous weight loss diet.
After this victory, he was rewarded with only 14,000 Leke, who in the end did not even manage to buy a pair of boxing gloves.
I've got 140 thousand old cash. I've had a lot of times in my life. If you look at your little sister, have a dish of dishes and go home, I know who you can give that plate first. I've been thinking, who do I give first? I'm sorry I'm 30 and I'm out of the country once. I've never been, just inside Albania, I've done nothing, I've suffered a lot... I usually try not to express myself to people, just smile as much as I am inside... ”, Klevis Celay tells TV Clan.
The champion lives in an old house with his mother, father, sister, and aunt who has many health problems.
Everybody's waiting for him. Poverty and poverty do not conquer this champion, who says he chose to be a sportsman rather than a thief.
