Blerim Latifi warns bloody wars if EU keeps doors closed for Balkans

The renowned political philosophy professor, Blerim Latifi, has made a Facebook status concerning the Western Balkan mini-semen following the meeting being held in Ohrid among neighbouring states, excluding Kosovo. Latifi has criticised the Balkan “minengen” as an idea, saying it is the result of the fact that the European Union “is increasingly dominated to keep the Western Balkans out of its structures. ”
At this point it refers to increasing support for anti-imgration and anti-enlargement parties in European Union countries, attitudes which have been embraced in a measure by leaders of the two largest countries -- Germany and France, Merkel and Macron -- writes Periscopi.
But, Mr. Latif warns that such a thing can bring to our countries the terrible wars that took place earlier.
Any kind of federalism, even in its softest versions, more than the solution, contains the potential to repeat past mistakes.” rightly writes Latifi.
The following is the whole and unread status:
This idea of the Balkan minister seems to be the result of the fact that the European Union is being dominated from the point of view of keeping the Western Balkans out of its structures. The idea that the Balkans, although geographically in Europe, must somehow be kept out of it, is an old idea, which has only complicated Balkan issues. When the Ottoman Empire was dying, an Balkan federation idea for its territories in the Balkans had been invented. Later the communists, led by Tito and the leader of communist Bulgaria, Dimitrov, and with the support of Enver Hoxha, had worked seriously in another version of the Balkan federation. Yugoslavia itself was the product of this idea. One thing is certain: Balkan problems are not solved by excluding his countries from the EU and accommodated in artificial federal arrangements. Any kind of federalism, even in its softest versions, more than the solution, contains the potential for repeating past mistakes. /Periscope
