This is not just a movie. This is an insult to our faith, our traditions and all that is holy to us,” told Reuters Guram Damenia, who came in wearing a traditional Georgian costume.
The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and has won awards at festivals worldwide.
But the wait has been mixed into the conservative Caucasus nation. The same gender relations remain mainly taboo in Georgia, where dance is honoured as part of the nation's heritage, Euronews writes.
