Serbia and Kosovo are miles away from any agreement, said Serbian List Vice President Dalibor Yevtic.
In these statements to Voice of America, Yevtic has said America expects the Serbian List to support processes in favour of dialogue, but according to him, the Serbian List does not rush to the government with election winner Albin Kurtin, writes news.net.
Yevtic met in Washington with State Department for South and Central Europe Director David Kostalanchik, Group of Serbia President Steve Steve Steveers, Republican Senator Ron Johnson and Europe Director at the Council for National Security, John Erat.
Yevtic said the topic of the meeting was the situation after the elections and the position of the Serbian List in this political situation.
The “What I've heard from the conversationators are the expectations the White House has, before all about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, but also expectations on forming a new government. I announced that the Serbian List is not rushing to be part of the new government”, Yevtic said.
Asked what the US from the Serbian List expected, Jevtic said they expect above all “that we support those processes that contribute to peace and the continuation of the” dialogue.
“In that sense, I announced my co- talker, not only that, but all I've talked to in Washington that the property of the Serbian List is continuing the dialogue, but on the other hand is respect for the rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo”, he said.
Yevtic has added that American officials have said they support any concept of the agreement Kosovo and Serbia reach agreement on.
They need to know Kurt's views that they're something that tells us he's not ready to talk. Whatever the topic, then it could only be a waste of the time”, Yevtic said.
“You can think about this or that party whatever you want, but you should respect that the Serbian List has won more than 90 per cent of the vote within the Serbian community”, Jevtic said.
