Foreign embassies in Kosovo once again have demanded that justice organs seize the illegal property of state officials.
On the 10th anniversary of “Yava for the Rights of Crime Victims”, among other diplomatic representatives in Kosovo expressed that the people of Kosovo are victims of top state officials who have illegally benefited at their expense. So stressed Swiss Embassy representative in Kosovo Katarina Stoker, who added that this wealth should be returned to citizens.
Corruption is not just a ethical matter, but it systematically affects people's lives. Kosovo has so far had limited success in sanctioning corruption cases. So we have a small number of property seizures, officials profit from property acquired by crime. It is imperative that illegally acquired or stolen property be confiscated and returned to Kosovo citizens”, she said, today the newspaper “Zri”.
Recognition of justice cases in the country estimates that there is no will from justice bodies to investigate and confiscate the assets of top state officials because of their connection to politics and power.
