Reaction to Lumez in the Dehar case: 200 prosecutors who receive up to 3 thousand euros in salary, why America should do our jobs

Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Institute for Justice has reacted to chief state prosecutor Alexander Lumezi's statement that, for the dawn of the Astrit Dehar death case, they will seek help from the United States. Miftaraj has asked why it always takes Kosovo's affairs to carry out America, while the Kosovo Prosecutor numbers about 200 prosecutors who receive salaries ranging from 1,000 euros to 3 thousand and 200 euros.

He has therefore said that such a request is not even based on law, and as such it is irreplaceable.

Miftaraj says that America's all it can do is realise super expertise for the case in question in the United States, and in no way can it bring American prosecutors to Kosovo, as the Constitution correctly acknowledges that only Kosovo prosecutors can exercise prosecutorial professions, the Express submits.

The request is not based on law. It's inevitable! America won't be able to help us in this case. All we can do is super-expertize us in America. To bring me prosecutor from America, it doesn't even come into consideration! Refuse with the first one. Neither America nor another country likes me in other countries. The constitution and the Law stipulates that only prosecutors named by law in Kosovo can exercise prosecutorial functions. At the level of advice, the embassy staff's escort in Kosovo, but the embassy can help us”, it wrote among other things.
