The law on salaries in the public sector, adopted in February, which is meant to take effect nine months after approval, envisions the transitional payment even for deputy ministers, KTV reports.
The deputy minister, who after the end of the mandate fails to make any entry from the state budget, has the right to pass-by compensation of six months worth 70% of the last basic salary, in the institution in which he has carried the post”, is said to be Article 30 of this law.
If 80 deputy ministers will receive this pay compensation, for 6 months after the mandate ends, it will cost the state budget about 400 thousand euros.
Pay compensation for 6 months will be possible if the same have exercised the deputy minister's regular mandate six months.
Civil society was expressed against Article 30 of the Law on Salaries in the public sector, but was adopted in the Assembly.
Most political subjects in the country have promised during the election campaign to reduce the number of ministries and deputy ministers.
Meanwhile, in an analysis previously conducted by the GAP Institute, about 13m euros would reportedly be saved if the government were to reduce the number of ministries from 21 to 13.
