The goats ate the herbs, creating a destruction of fire that slowed the flames and gave firefighters extra time to react.
The library near Los Angeles was threatened by the involvement of recent fires in a hearth of fires, causing evacuations and power cuts across the country.
“We were told by one of the firefighters who believe that the cease-fire made their work easier,” told Melisa Giller, a spokesperson for the library, Reuters, Pryscopi traces.
The goats were hired by a local company 805 goats to clean about 13 hectares of land.
Another major Southern California institution, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, was also protected this week by a cleaning job conducted by staff./Periscopi/
