The Union of Journalists of Kosovo has asked the Vetevendosje Movement to distance itself from its member who threatened and linchoed journalists with arrest because they had written and given opinions about Rastin Dehari”. And so, UGK has called on justice bodies to investigate Durmish's lynching language, which had said journalists should be arrested after Swiss Astrit Deharin expert published.
Kosovo Journalists' “Union (UGK) strongly condemns the lynching request for arresting journalists on the part of Kosovo's Vetevendosje official. Hysen Durmish. This threatening and lynching language addressed to journalists and the media is punishable and forbidden. Vetevendosje should apologise to journalists and the media and not to conflict with the principles of democracy, media freedom and journalists guaranteed with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, the UGKA report reportedly on the war crimes tribunal.
According to UGKA, justice bodies should address any threats at the address of journalists and media by anyone and in any form.
“U n GK, they called Mr. Durmish and all others who threaten journalists to stop such actions and apologise because lynching and threatening are unacceptable”, the Union's statement to Kosovo Journalists said at the end.
The first to seek to stop threatening language against journalists was attorney Arian Koci. He has said threats of jailing journalists occur only in Russia, Cuba, Turkey, Venezuela.
Has there been an Association of Journalists in this country? Any journalists? Is there someone who protects media freedom? Freedom of journalists? Calls for the detention of journalists take place only in Russia, Turkey, Venezuela and Cuba. Journalists may be arrested for writing, why they have expressed their opinion even wrong”, Koci wrote in a reaction.
In November 2016, Hysen Durmish had made an even more serious threat to journalists and media, saying that we would be dragged once they gained power.

Some Vetevendosje officials began to be responsible even for media and journalists for reporting as they have wanted the death of Astrit Dehar in 2006, at the Pre-burging Centre in Prizren. They even sought to launch journalists' arrests, including Baton Haxhiu's Vehbi Kaitazi. None of them have yet given a comment on this call.
The former Vetevendosje member's case returned to the public following the expertise coming from Switzerland, in which it is said that given the evidence presented, it is little possible that Astrit Dehari has committed suicide. A new investigation is required to watch other tracks, including the involvement of a third person in the event.
The report coming from Switzerland finds nowhere that Astrit Dehar was killed, shows by whom he was killed, or how he was killed, but requires that this track also be investigated to make the truth completely white.
Astrit Dehari was initially arrested as suspected of terrorist attacks on the Kosovo Assembly, along with several other members of Vetevendosje. He died 78 days after he was arrested until he was in custody in Prizren prison. The VVA activists' case has become retrial, but the date is still set.
