France wants the new government to remove the tax: We want a new meeting in Paris

France views the remaining status quo of the situation between Kosovo and Serbia as dangerous. So said French Ambassador to Belgrade Federico Mandolin during the Security Forum today.

“Status-quo between Serbia and Kosovo is dangerous”, Mandollin has said.

He has said that France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to join Germany and the European Union's mediation to be included in the issue of dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

Mandollo's away said they'd do it in consultation with the United States.

On the other hand, he has said France wants both sides to eliminate the conditions for return to dialogue, as Macron wants a meeting in Paris as soon as possible.

“We want to give a political impulse and have a new meeting in Paris. It is very clear to us that the tariff must be lifted if the new government in Pristina wants to negotiate with Belgrade, in order to find a compromise”, he has said.
