Wessel threatens severely: Not only will we not remove the tax, but reciprocity in everything with Serbia

Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veselini has said the tax on Serbia will not be lifted, while warning reciprocity measures in any area in the event of continuing Serbia's aggression.

“Taxa 100 per cent on Serbia will not be removed. Even if Serbia continues with aggressive behavior, we will add measures and move on to full reciprocity with the Serbian state in every area. The tax is set in the interest of the state and the citizens of Kosovo. Our strategic and permanent partners, the United States, have not asked for tax removal because they do not want to harm Kosovo's reserve dignity. The prime minister has talked about aggressive actions of the Serbian state that have led to Kosovo's decision to impose a 100 per cent tax.

“We will let Serbia know every day that without respecting the state of Kosovo I cannot expect tax removal. We will continue with full reciprocity. They block Kosovo goods we block Serbia's goods. They don't recognise our vehicle plates, we won't even recognize Serbian license plates. They do not recognise Kosovo state seals, we do not now know Serbia's seals. So we will go to full reciprocity and the 100 per cent tax will remain depending on how Serbia” behaves, said Wessel.
