Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has talked at a news conference today about Vladimir Putin's visit to Serbia yesterday. According to Wessel, Putin is telling Thaci and Vuciqi the same things, which according to him shows Russia's approach towards recognising Kosovo's independence.
We're with America with the Westerners, and our neighbor in the north is trying to get along with Westerners. Putin, after a meeting with Thaci, has said the same things after him with Vucicici, so Russia is heading towards recognising Kosovo's independence. While Vuciq has said in his response that during yesterday's visit to Belgrade, Putin has completely told him otherwise.
If Kadri Veselin says so, then that's where it should be”, Vuciq ironically wrote B92.
“I didn't hear Putin say such a thing, he said otherwise”, added Vuciq.
Putin at yesterday's conference in front of reporters on the Kosovo issue has said Russia's position has not changed and that it respects Resolution 1244.
These Putin statements are being named as unrealistic to Serbia on the road to resolving the Kosovo problem.
