The Nobel Prize winner, American scientist James Watson, has suffered his greatest dishonor, for all honors were taken as a result of a racist statement on the intelligence of white and colored people.
In a TV programme, the AND research pioneer said there are differences between the intelligence of white people and black people because of race.
“Cold Spring Harbor” laboratory said 90-year-old scientist's comments were “unfounded and reckless”.
Dr. Watson had made similar statements in 2007 and then apologized.
He is the winner of the Nobel Prize for Science, along with Maurice Wilkins and Francis Crick in 1962, for the discovery they had made in 1953 for the structure of the double spiral of the AND.
In 2014, Dr. Watson also delivered the gold medal for science, saying he had left the scientific community after his words about race.
Actually he's lying in a rehabilitation center where he's being treated after a car crash, and he's unaware of what's going on around him.
However, in 2007 the scientist who had worked at Cambridge University, more precisely in the Cavendish laboratory, told the New York Times that it was grim in essence for prosperity in Africa”, because although all the facts of studies indicate that their intelligence is the same as our “” referring to the white race, it is not.
He also added that all employers with colored workers have problems with them.
After those statements, Watson lost his job as consultant at Cambridge Lab and all his obligations to the administration there. He had written an apology.
Dr. Watson became director of the <x0 laboratory Cold Spring Harbor” in 1968, and its president a decade later, 1994. A school in the lab was named after him.
Poor to an interview for Reuters news agency, his son Rufus said Dr Watson's statements “could make him a fanatic and discriminated against”, but that was not true.
The “they just represent its very narrow interpretation of genetic destiny... My father had made the laboratory his life, and yet now the lab considers it a responsibility”.
Watson lost all honor as scientists of all modern times, because of his claims that failed to rely on facts, and were described as pure racism by him. / Translate from BBC: Leonora Aliu/Periscope
