There will be detained detainees from the Centre in Pec, which is expected to be completely closed, but in Pristina there will also be detained by other centres in Kosovo.
Minister Tahiri has announced that, along with the Kosovo Correcting Service, it is implementing some measures of the Strategic Development Plan, which envisions security improvement within prisons.
Tahiri has stressed that human resources are involved in increasing the capabilities of the Correct Service, where the competition for officers is in the final phase.
This process had stalled, due to the annulment of the competition by the Ombudsman, who praised that the Ministry of Justice had violated human rights, setting the age set for this position as criterion.
The Pristina detention centre was inaugurated on January 5, 2018 by the minister himself, Abelard Tahiri.
