President Thaci announces 2019 “Nato's Kosovo>

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has announced NATO's Year 2019 via Vit in Kosovo.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of NATO's humanitarian intervention in Kosovo, which had occurred after the massacres, ethnic cleansing and crimes of Serbian forces over the civilian population in Kosovo, as well as the failure of global diplomatic efforts to find a peaceful solution for Kosovo.

On 24 March 1999, NATO air forces had launched the campaign of shelling against the Serb state targets, which had lasted a total of 78 days, halting genocide and bringing freedom to Kosovo.

The people of Kosovo will forever be grateful to NATO member states for their support.
