Lawmaker Eliot Engel has been elected chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, and has said he is determined to fulfill all responsibilities.
I am honored that my colleagues unanimously elected me head of the Foreign Relations Committee. Congress will play an important role in foreign policy, and I, I am determined to ensure that we will fulfill those responsibilities”, Engel wrote on Twitter, broadcast Koha.net.

Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli congratulated him for this post. For Kosovo, Pacolli has said Engel is a hero.
