Minister of Finance in the Kosovo government Bedri Hamza, at the opening of Kosovo Customs Customs Customs Customs in the port of Durres, has said the purpose and top priority of the Government of Kosovo is economic growth and the bearer of this development will be the private sector.
The Ministry of Finance has so far taken concrete action to harmonise customs procedures between the two customs of our two states. Our goal in opening the Kosovo Customs Office in the Port of Durres is to offer our Kosovo and wider businesses an opportunity more than they have so far to do business at a much smaller cost and less customs bureaucracy. This, according to our analysis, will help us that in addition to facilitating the importation of goods from third countries in our country, it will enable us to facilitate even more the export of goods from Kosovo to Albania and beyond, not excluding the transit of goods through our country's territory of”, Hamza said.
According to the MF, a major operational job has been done to meet the terms of Kosovo Customs operating at the Durres Port and the development of transit procedure at the Durres Port for goods belonging to Kosovo.
On the other hand, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj stressed that today is an important moment in the further objective of integration and co-operation between Albania and Kosovo, praising that this project is the second most important since Kosovo's declaration of independence.
“After a joint effort, a major joint construction project of the Tirana-Pristina Highway, today is the most important concrete project between Kosovo and Albania, customs integration as our common vision towards the customs union between Kosovo and Albania”, Limaj has said.
He further indicated that the four decisions made at the joint meeting of the Governments held in Pec are already under way. The first “is the integration of the borders at the beginning of this year and which is expected to end in March, and today the Kosovo Customs is being established in the Durres Port”.
While Republika Rama's prime minister, Edi Rama, said it feels good to be gathered today at another travel station designed at the gathering of two governments to open the Kosovo Customs Office in Durres and thus turn the port of Durres into not only one Albania Customs but also in Kosovo Customs, adding that this is the first important step towards the full customs union between Albania and Kosovo, and that cutting red tape, waiting hours, of unpaid costs for businesses are the effect of this customs office. /Periscopi
