European Union Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn said he has offered solutions to the trade issue between Belgrade and Pristina and that he is awaiting the answer from the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia.
Commissioner Hahn, in an interview for N1 television, has said that at the Davos Economic Forum, he has talked to the presidents Thaci and Vuciq, and that he has detailed his proposal.
I proposed that all relevant trade issues involving Serbia and Kosovo be co-ordinated. I am willing to conduct this conversation and that would be the basis for assuming that it is possible to continue the dialogue mediated by High Representative Federica Moghrini “, Hahn said.
Commissioner Hahn in this interview also said Thaci and Vuciq understood his proposal, and the days ahead await their positive response.
He added he believed the problem could be solved and that Serbia and Kosovo's “dialog can continue by the end of”, followed by the end of the year. REL.
Serbia is not continuing dialogue on normalising reports with Kosovo until authorities in Pristina abolish the 100 per cent fee decision on Serbian goods.
The Kosovo government is not abolishing the move, as it is seeking recognition of the state of Kosovo on Serbia's part.
The European Union and the US have repeatedly asked authorities in Pristina to abolish the fee on Serbian and Bosnian goods. /Periscopi
