Gent Cakaj is the name of a young, knowledgeable and eloquent son from Kosovo. His native country, our country, has not produced many young people like Gail. As for the quality of education, it came last in Europe, and third from the bottom of the world.
And yet, Gent Cakaj was tried and viciously attacked in Albania and Kosovo. He made mistakes in English and was young. That was enough to start attacks and disdain him.
But today it became known that the most corrupt man in Albania who has shot to be President Ilir Meta refused to decree him as minister. He gave the banal reason that he was inexperienced and irresponsible [because he had not met certain security documents] and most importantly -- that he had not been declared against the correction of the borders between Kosovo and Serbia!
The news followed reactions by many people and political groups in Kosovo. Let's face it: they rejoiced that a young man from Kosovo was not appointed in the role of foreign minister in the Albanian government! For good reason, a stranger may ask: Why? The answer is terribly disturbing. Prejudice.
In the first place, Cakaj was tried as a man linked to Hashim Thaci and his idea of border correction, supported by renowned journalist Baton Haxhiu.
The final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is sponsored by the president of the United States and the European Union. What would be Gent Cakaj's real political burden as Albanian foreign minister in the process? Neither Didmir Bushati nor Edmond Haxhinasto nor anyone else was expected, nor could they be expected by Kosovo in question to prevent Kosovo from ending up in the process.
Therefore, the reaction against him constitutes manifestation of the successive political weaknesses and failures of political groups in question. They could never alone advance a process, or even prevent one within Kosovo despite busy several years of activity. That's what makes their party so funny about the failure of Cakay.
We must remember that two days ago, on January 8th, a team of 8 men met in Brussels with EU representatives. They were not taken seriously. The meeting was called consultancy. Mogher wants talks with Thaci and Vucinqi. From this point of view, we can seriously ask: What burden would Albania's foreign minister have on the Thaci-Moughrini-Vuchicq negotiations? If Veton Surroi were named or Murat Jashari [proposed by Rexhep Selimi of the VV] foreign minister, would that burden increase?
All of this is another disproportion of irrationality and political frustration with weak heels and a tired mind to promote container changes!
