Denmark strips women with headscarves, sʹkees more in public spaces

The bill, drafted by the centre-right government, was also supported by the first two political forces in Parliament, Social Democrats and the Danish People's Party.
Starting on August 1st, the date of entry into force of the new law, any violation of the ban on wearing headscarves in public places will be sanctioned by a fine of 10,000 Danish crowns (134 euros). If violations are repeated, the fine could reach as many as 10,000 crowns. /
