Water and meter tubes can rise within hours from the early weather to low temperatures if they are exposed to cold air. Consumers are responsible for protecting water and water pipes (indoor or outside) from cold air and wind.
Preventing pipes from coming to freezing is much easier than replacing pipes that freeze and explode. Fortunately, this is relatively easy to do. These steps will help you to prevent damage, expense, and difficulties that you can face in situations where pipes and boils are frozen.
First we have to follow these steps:
Find the main water - closing valve, for example, in the residential block (the main meter section), or in private homes. Tell all family members how to close it in case of a tube explodes or similar emergencies. In collective settlements, residents need to know the location of the metre wells and the break valve, as well as the breaking wave of the internal hydrant network in case we have an explosion of the hydrant tube. We like that on the floors of the ground where the supply vertical is more exposed to the cold air and the possibility of leaks are potential, so please take precautions and isolate yourself from coming up. We like consumers to make isolation in the wells where they have the water meter not coming up to freeze. The tubes that are most likely to be lifted are those who are on the un-equipped wall, garages, cellars and those placed hammers under the surface of the earth. Add isolation to outer walls wherever possible, and seal up (screw) pipes in garages and cellars, and make internal isolation of aquifers with materials that can prevent cold air.
