Within two weeks of campaigning for legalisation of weapons has been delivered only 20 weapons, whose owners have applied for legalisation.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs estimates that so far, the campaign has not had the right effect, KTV reports.
According to officials of this ministry, the campaign in the coming days will intensify so that citizens can have the legalisation process more clearly.
Another reason for citizens' low interest in legalizing weapons is considered to be the price for legalisation.
Destan Mustafa, chief of the MPB's weapons and ammunition division, has said that as the request for legalisation is made, the reason for the weapons should also be indicated.
He added that categories that are potentially legalised are divided.
By decision by Interior Minister Ekrem Mustafa, during the campaign period for legalisation of weapons, implementation of Article 374 of the Penal Code has been suspended.
The penal code envisions fines of up to 7 thousand and 500 euros, or prison sentences of up to 5 years for illegal possession.
We were sentenced to 2 to 10 years in prison, also for illegal possession of four or more weapons and more than 400 bullets.
The legalisation campaign began in December and will last six months.
