Thaci is revived by patriotic feelings from visiting to the north: No Weiman, Trepca, nor Mitrovica

In his speech, Thaci has cited some of the issues in which he says Kosovo is working and what it has undertaken support from internationals, such as the issue of membership in Interpol and visa liberalisation.

Speaking on the border issue, Thaci said there will be no ethnic borders, nor will Weiman, Trepca or Mitrovica be affected.

I want to share with you the good news I've received from internationals.

I've also been at Lake Weyman, this powerful asset of the Republic of Kosovo for the energy and agriculture sector, which only god has days to forgive. We come from Mitrovica, Brnjak, Weiman. I couldn't refuse the invitation of local citizens to Brnjak and drink coffee with them. I thank them for their coffee and honest conversation.

This week we were in New York to attend the UN assembly. At these meetings, we announced conversationators with Kosovo's achievements as a state and discuss the future of our state. In talks with our international allies, we received full support for our plans. We received support for our Euro-Atlantic path. We are for lasting peace and stability for generations to come. Our first goal is for Kosovo to join Interpol in the coming weeks and months. The working group is working for the Interpol General Assembly to prepare. To lobby and gain support from member states. It is in the interest of the state of Kosovo and the citizens for Kosovo to become part of this security mechanisation. It is also in the interest of the international community that Kosovo contribute to security, to overcome the challenges of terrorism, illegal migration and other issues. We all have to work to achieve this goal. I am grateful to the police that it has managed to meet any conditions for Kosovo to deserve support for membership in Interpol. Gratitude for other institutions too: The Ministry of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and all who joined that goal.

The other aspira is visa liberalisation for citizens to move without barriers to the entire European continent. This would open great opportunities for citizens, for economies and all other areas. We have to convince every EU state to vote for visas. No one should risk visas. NATO and the EU are targeting us, even thanks to the values they convey.

Two of the next steps we will take are: transforming the KSF and closing the dialogue with Serbia.

The KSF is every citizen's pride, is the most reliable institution for citizens. The transformation of KSF into the Army has entered the final phase. Three draft laws were passed in the Government this month for transformation. So far, we have reached partnership with the US NATO and will continue until the end. As the Supreme Commander of KSF, I say this force is the pride of the nation. They will affect stability and even broader. This has not happened before because of a lack of political unity for four years now.

I also want to talk about dialogue with Serbia. Our aspirations to complete internal and international consolidation of the state. Ensure the UN seat, NATO and EU membership, to have recognition from the five EU countries. We cannot achieve the goals if we make deals with Serbia, as the EU has been clear to us. The door is open to Balkan countries, but they have to solve problems. There must be agreements on full normalisation of relations between the two states, which is led by the EU, supported by the US. We've made even more compromises that were necessary, but we've made them for the sake of the country's independence. Recognition by Serbia is the main obstacle to Euro-Atlantic travel. We're trying to make a peace deal. Good association is a condition for the EU. No one can guarantee that the EU is able to convince Serbia to recognise Kosovo, and we have no time to lose and deceive ourselves. Reaching an agreement will be made for stabilising the region. We are creating hazy panic as if on the eve of independence, when it said Serbs would leave if independence is declared. No Serb family was away. There will be no borders on ethnic lines. Weiman, Trepca and Mitrovica will not be affected.
