Tahiri acknowledges policy could intervene in investigation into veterans' lists

Speaking at KTV's interactive, Tahiri has said publicising the indictment has greatly damaged the investigation process of the case.

I think there's been a huge damage to the investigation since the case has been public. You have all those people who are engaged in one form or another today because they will eventually face justice. Not why the news came out, but why the indictment and a lot of sensitive documents have led many people who have been unaware of being investigated, they take precautions and prevent. I don't know if they're ministers or prime ministers. Whoever they are, I think justice will deal with them and bring them to justice”, Tahiri said.

He has not named part of political influence his call for investigation.

I have insisted on continuing the investigation and all the damage done in the budget to return to the state budget. This will happen. We as politics give full support to the prosecution to continue working. To highlight all those abusers of public money”, Tahiri said.

I'm not asking which prosecutor to take the case, and how to conduct the investigation. As taxpayers, as a citizen or as justice minister, is seeking investigations”, he has said further.

Tahiri has said he cannot comment on the possible closeness of Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi, while expressing his full confidence in his work. He has not wanted to comment either Prime Minister Haradinaj's statements to the prosecutor of the case, Elez Blakaj, who told the drinker or his call for the report, but has said he opposes any intervention in justice.
