Real veterans have been introduced, Blake: My act has been added to 2,000 veterans

Former Special Prosecutor Elez Blakaj's prosecutor has publicly responded to news publishing the names of those suspected of being false veterans.

Blakaj has said that according to this, he notes that the list he compiled has been added to about 2,000 new names, which he says is not responsible for.

During the day, AAK deputy Shkumbin Demalijaj accused Blakaj of putting his fake veterans and his warrior father on the list, while Time Kadrijaj, also AAK MP, who found his name a deserter.

The following is the full letter to Blake:

News of the surrender of the veterans' indictment to the Court I have considered to be good news, which will dawn the truth about the illegal process of recognising veterans' status according to legal criteria. By violating this law, the damage caused by the real state budget and veterans are of huge proportions. They will only dawn in a fair, impartial and professional judicial process, which I hope will take place in front of the public in Kosovo.

The act established and signed by me was based on fact and law, in terms of violating criteria and procedures related to recognition of the status of the war veteran.

But, as it seems, as the work has been conveyed regarding this act of pressures and threats, it is now continuing at this stage with other efforts with the sole aim of discrediting the hard work done, based on law, fact and justice for whiteening the truth in the case of the huge veterans' lists.

I'm getting multiple comments and questions about the indictment filed in court and the published names of persons who have been selected as beneficiaries of the veteran's status warrior in opposition to veterans' criteria.

What I'm now seeing from information published in the media, referring to the act of veterans, publishing names and personal data is that there are about 2,000 people who have been added to the list of names that are designed as the beneficiary of veteran warrior's status contrary to the criteria of the law for veterans.

This explanation I'm making to inform the public that the indictment has first been changed by what I've compiled, because there are about 2,000 more people who have no information about how they were selected and how they're involved in the indictment.

While, what's most important to inform the public is that I Elez Blakaj, now former Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, does not hold responsibility for the amended/fulfilled indictment and signed by another prosecutor, nor for the publication of names, because there is a principle that should be respected-represented.

For this indictment, questions should all be directed to the Special Prosecutor who signed the indictment.

The way they are acting with the indictment through special war, publishing specific parts and interpreting them is the wrong way that the lovers of true veterans and Kosovo have chosen.

Finally, I want to express my and my family respect and humility for all real veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the most basic value of Albanian history. Respect for all true martyrs and veterans.
