INSTAT: Growth in domestic agricultural production brought down prices

INSTAT first published the Agricultural Awards Index (IÇB), extending over the 2015 base year to 2017.

Referring to statistics, the rise in domestic agricultural production has affected price reductions for these products in domestic markets, where they dominate the Lusnje, Fier, Berat, etc., areas with the highest potential of agricultural production.

The agricultural products price index in 2017 marked a drop by 0.7 % compared to the previous year. In 2017, the price index of plant products marked decline by 0.9 %, and the price index of animal products marked a decline of 0.4 %, compared to a year ago.

INSTAT explained that the price index of agricultural products measures the price changes of agricultural products at the country level and allows them to compare with other states, writes “monitor”.

The source of data is the Most Agricultural Product Awards Survey. In 2017 the annual agricultural price index (2015=100) reached 99.2, from 99.9 in 2016.

The prices of agricultural products are calculated based on standards and regulations passed on at Eurostat Agricultural Products Manual. Collecting data tops near farms, livestock markets, majority markets and other countries where agricultural products can accumulate.
