The Greek president's statement was made during the memorial ceremonies in Paramthia, where, according to Greeks, they joined the Nazis and executed 49 residents of the area in the German Army's cleanup operations on 29 September 1943.
Pavlopoulos's statements, precisely at the moment of finalising dialogue between Albania and Greece, for resolving disputes over a range of issues between the two countries, seem to open a new chapter that could reflect on the delay of signing an agreement between the two countries.
