Last night, the European Awards (EYA) winner was declared and in the category of Digital Solutions with Social Impact, the Blood Blood Project, created by Riinvest College students, won first place once again by emphasising college seriousness, student dedication and teachers' mentorship. EYA is a platform for the pan-European community of new makers of changes that digital technologies use to improve society.
Project Dono Blood came up with an idea in one of the Unicef Innovation Lab workers, where it also received its first aid both on the part of management and on the financial side. As it was one of the winning projects at the Unicef Innovation Lab workshop, the project fell into the eye of the Ministry of Health, where even on June 21st it became its official launch, making MS as part of project associates.
Health Minister Uran Ismaili said that creating online platforms and apps for voluntary blood donation will increase the possibilities of the National Blood Transfusion Centre to address continued demand for blood for people in need, while the Ministry of Health, through use of innovative methods and technology interlocking, will provide more practical solutions to the problems stretched out for years.
A app which problems stretched for years gives you a modern solution. For me it will be a huge relief, it will be an opportunity to see what our shortages and reserves are. That's what I believe we encourage young boys and girls to come up with other ideas. We are left to continue funding to provide solutions to major problems”, the minister said.
The application is in AppStor and PlayStore ready to be downloaded.
