According to the CSES survey in Albania, which was carried out online on 13 September 20, 2018, 77 percent turns out to be against that idea, the Koha.net broadcasts.
Of the 5,619 major subjects of the Republic of Albania who have provided answers, village residents and cities from all municipalities (Tirana 39%, Durres 7%, Elbasan 5.5%, Shkodra 5.4%, Vlora 4.2%, Fier 3.9%, Korca 3.3%, etc), 92.3% say they have recently heard of Thaci and Vuciqi's proposals for the correction of the borders of territories between Kosovo and Serbia, while 7.7% say they have not heard about these proposals.
Among the citizens of Albania who have heard of the proposals of the president of Kosovo and Serbia, who have shaped a position on the issue and agreed to respond, 77% positions against these proposals while 23% support them.
“It is observed that young people display higher trends to reject these proposals (18) 35 years old, 80% against) compared to the oldest (56+, 72% against). It is also noted that women show the highest opposition trend towards these proposals (80% against) compared to men (76% against)”, the CSES survey says.
CSES is a collaborative research programme among election research teams from around the world. The participating countries include a common module of questions.
In Kosovo recently, Thaci's idea of border correction is being described as unconstitutional. And the latter has launched an initiative aimed at bypassing the Kosovo Assembly over a possible agreement with Serbia.
