Thaci unearths his concept of overhauling the border with Serbia, insists on referendum

The “will work strongly if there is no compliance in the Kosovo Assembly for the final word to be spoken by the citizen of Kosovo himself, by his will through the referendum. The will of the citizens ends every debate. Therefore, I am in favour of Kosovo's own people saying their word for the final Kosovo-Serbia Agreement”, Thaci stressed, for RTK.

Thaci has said that border correction eliminates Kosovo's Bosniakisation, the claim of “Republika Srpska” in Kosovo, for any autonomy of Serbs in Kosovo, also that of exchange or partition of Kosovo.

“Krestation of the safe between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia implies the 400km demarcation that are between Kosovo and Serbia, which in some form or other form, should happen sooner or later. Now we also have institutionalisation of the request of Presevo Valley leaders for joining Kosovo. So I think it would be of interest to discuss this issue, and I have vowed before them to set it up at the negotiating table in Brussels. If a common agreement, of goodwill between the parties, is reached, then no one will be against a peaceful process, neither the US nor NATO”, Thaci has said.
