Lirak Celiaj, chairman of Deges that the PDK in Pristina supports former chief Hashim Thaci's idea of restructuring the borders. In this way, he goes against Kadri Veselin, who has said Kosovo's borders and territory are invulnerable, pro Hashim Thaci, as well as hits Vetevendosje in his Facebook writing.
He says he sees no real possibility better than correcting borders. Celaj says that the upcoming objections, especially from those trumpeting national union”, do not understand them. He says objections are being made to Thaci's points.
His full Facebook text:
I don't see any real possibility better than mending the border to permanently end the enmity with Serbia.
I am also not particularly understanding those who trumpet national unity and oppose that idea. How can you be for the national union and against the union of the Valley. This is because we, Kosovo, settled down, got away, and now who's worried about the Valley that remained in Serbia.
I can understand scepticism whether or not this “correction” can be realised in accordance with our actual claims. But the April rejection is only proposing by President Thaci and that in his spite we have to line up against him, I don't think it's rational or historically rational. I think in such important matters we should be unique and overcome personal resentments and act in the best interests of the nation and the future of generations to come after us.
The reactions of some Kosovo Albanians, but even outside of it, that “with this is undermining the stability of the region and opening the Pandora box” look ridiculous to me, almost we are the ones to sacrifice parts of the nation and territory for the comfort of others. Still, there are others who have the strength and opportunity to care for peace in the region.
Even more ridiculous to me is the argument that Ahtisaari has received the Nobel Prize for Peace, and if his Plan for Kosovo is rejected, the price could be reduced. Now because of his price we must sacrifice our future. Or that changing borders is only about war. True, it is a war, but only when it is done without the will of both sides. In this case we're talking about a peaceful process with the guarantors of superpowers. How will there be war if it is done with agreement and guarantor?
After all, we have repeatedly said that we are such a genius. Even with this positive step in the region, how problems with dialogue and not war can be solved, with solutions avoiding resources for a later war, perhaps.
Of course, all this correction or exchange of territories would make sense if the symmetrical reports of correction were respected, and where a portion of Ahtisaari's Pacos would be rejected since even the percentage of ethnic structures in Kosovo would be changed. It is always understood to guarantee for all minority rights with the highest standards, without leaving room for creating a nonfunctional and troubled state similar to Bosnia and Herzegovina. /Periscope.
