Women of soldiers I SISCHES seek greater divorce

In Iraq, women of the Islamic State terrorists are seeking mass divorce in city courts in which jihadists in 2014 had declared the revival of Islamic Califat. The main motivation of protagonists to this event is the fear of having consequences from their relationship with Isis.

A new chapter opens in the horrors of the most famous organization of the moment. This time, protagonists are women who have found themselves, often involuntarily associated with Isis soldiers and who now desperately seek to sever these ties through divorce.

Protagonists are women like Umaima, 41, with three children, still young, whose husband, Awad, is currently in custody awaiting the sentence that will surely lead to death or life in prison.

Umaima faced a surprise when her husband joined the terrorist organization, he said, to avenge the murder of the brother killed by Iraqi Armed Forces soldiers after he was accused of fighting for Isis.
Even Fatima, 35, has claimed to be surprised at her husband's surprise decision, Omar, to be placed in the ranks of Islamic State, after serving for years in the Iraqi Army before the American invasion in 2033.

Omar was arrested in 2015, following the liberation of the city of Tikri.
Shaimaa, 26, has no idea what her husband Abdulquader suffered after his liberation. The woman shows that her husband was initially attracted by the terrorist promise of a return to a field where Islam would have ceased.

Eventually, the man had repented of his decision but could not go back for fear of being killed by his companions.

A life of fear, although divorce is strongly stigmatized in Islamic communities that maintain conservative attitudes, is not prohibited by Iraqi law and is accepted by most citizens.
The outlooks of these women are not only limited to social stigmatisation, but also to the Iraqi government's terror towards anyone allegedly supporting the Isis cause.

Local authorities, in fact, encourage all citizens to denounce anyone who may be a soldier or a supporter of Isis until they are tried and sentenced to death or life imprisonment.

This kind of policy seems to have sparked a kind of witch hunt, in which many Iraqi citizens have not hesitated to get rid of any hated neighbors or annoying cousins.

Iraqi Deputy Justice Minister Hussain Jassem confirmed that a peak of divorce requirements has been noticed, starting in April of this year. The Dubai-based Al Arabiya Museum of Emirates reports that a significant increase in divorce requirements related to the Isis factor has been verified.

Once they are divorced, Isis's wives may have the opportunity to remarriage, even removing the stigma that dates away from their relationship with the terrorist organization.

In conclusion, the life of an Islamic terrorist is not an existence that can be linked to marriage and, as Umana says, “being the wife of a terrorist does not bring honor to either my family or my children.

Men who have chosen this path must be ready to face the consequences to the end and must forget to return to a peaceful life when the war ends.
