More than 700,000 Roingya people have fled the destruction of their homes and persecution in the northern province of Rakhine in Myanmar (Burma) for neighbouring Bangladesh since August 2017.

Ringya, numbering about a million in Myanmar in early 2017, is one of the many ethnic minorities in the country.

Myanmar's army says it is struggling with Roingya militants and denies targeting the civilian.
