“Trainer Fernando Hierro, who replaced Yulen Lupetegei a few days before the World Cup began, has completed co-operation with Spain's Football Federation”, suggests FIFA in a publication on the official Facebook page.

Hierros's departure was mentioned immediately after Spain's failure to qualify in the quarterfinals, after being defeated following the execution of penaltys from Russia, Periscope reports.

Hierro had been appointed Spain's coach to lead the national race just two days before the World Cup began.

He was appointed coach after the Spanish Football Federation had dismissed Yulen Lopetegei.

Lopetegüi's dismissal came as a result of the deal Lopetegüi had secretly made with Real Madrid to sit on the bench after the World's end.

The president of the Spanish Federation said they had not been aware and had realised that Lopetegiu would join the Maddrile Club just five minutes before the announcement was made public. /Periscope
