Opposition positions agree that Serbia discuss former Yugoslavia's assets as well

Kosovo's approach to the former Yugoslavia's wealth should be a topic of negotiations with Serbia, but for the first time, political consensus must be reached. The heads of Parliamentary Groups have unveiled their positions regarding talks with the neighbouring state on the division of the former Yugoslavia's wealth.

Avdullah Hoti, chief of the LDK Parliamentary Group, said such issues should be on Kosovo's list of priorities in dialogue with Serbia, EO writes.

But according to Hoti, because of not resolving the issue of the negotiating leader, it is not being able to move into the phase of handling Kosovo priorities.

I believe that this topic and many other topics, such as the topic of the undiscovered, then the technical problems we still have, agreements reached but not implemented. There must be a list of such priorities, but unfortunately we're not going through that phase at all because we're getting who to conduct the talks”.

According to the leader of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, the lack of consensus in the political sphere will affect delaying the handling of issues such as dividing the former Yugoslavia's wealth or even the damages caused by Serbia.

Krasniqi even added that numerous experts and working groups should be involved in dealing with these topics.

“It is absolutely vital to discuss all issues of war reparations that have caused Serbia here during the war both on property-sharing issues, but all of these are not issues only from one prism in office statements these issues are made when there is a discussion that puts national state interests and citizens before party and political interests”.

While the head of the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group (VV), Glauk Konjufca, said Kosovo's position should be one for Serbia to feel pressure rather than the opposite to happen, for Kosovo to feel guilty about what has happened.

“This has had to be the starting point of the Government of Kosovo, because when we start out what Serbia in Kosovo has done weaken Serbia's position and Serbia will be declared guilty of the aggression that has occurred in Kosovo”.

But because of the indiscretion of the Government of Kosovo and our institutions and they have created an adverse position for us, say we were guilty of what Serbia has done to us during 98-99 and the truth is the opposite”.

That the issue of Kosovo's wealth from the former Yugoslavia should be discussed in dialogue with Serbia neither denies Ahmeti Isufi, from the AAK.

He said outstanding issues should be part of the talks, but after the dialogue ends with the mutual recognition of the two states.

There are some topics that are open, as well as the question of dividing the former Yugoslavia that remain unresolved issues, as well as other obligations that Serbia has on Kosovo, starting with the damage to the war that it has done to Kosovo, from robbing the bank savings that have been, whether pensions or citizens who have deposited in banks, as well as artifacts, cadastral documents, many elements that would have to be clarified, and the equally sensitive issue for Kosovo to be found<1>

“Therefore, we are dealing with a bunch of elements which should be part of the negotiations, but we need this dialogue to end by recognizing each other”.

Even Bilall Sheriff from the Social Democrat Initiative said that at the negotiating table between Kosovo and Serbia, among the topics to be discussed should be the one for Kosovo's sake in the wealth of the former Yugoslavia, EO reports.

Any subject that is still unresolved, except Kosovo's status that is resolved on all topics that distract both states and Serbia as heir to the former Yugoslavia, of course, would have to be on the table all the topics Kosovo has to have the right to obtain a share from that of the former Yugoslavia because we have obtained debts, if we have taken debts as a bad share which the former Yugoslavia inherited, of course we would have to take those”

Given that Kosovo's citizens, for Dardan Sejdiu by the PSD, have contributed to the construction of the former Yugoslavia's wealth, the division of property would be very good for the country.

However, on this and other issues, according to Sejdiu, it is very important that relevant actors become together.

It would be very good for Kosovo to enjoy all the good that have been built by the work yesterday's citizens' defeat of this republic. Let's not forget that everything we've discussed so far has to do with benefits that we should enjoy the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo and not with the rights that belong to us as an independent state coming from the former Yugoslav state. It is very important that we discuss any subject that we discuss and prepare and be together”.

Former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa had made the decision that all real estate registered on behalf of the former Yugoslavia, Serbia and the Autonomous District of Kosovo be registered on behalf of Kosovo.

According to Serbian Geodesic Ent data, it's about these properties: Land owned by the Republic of Serbia, worth 29 percent of the total land in Kosovo.

Objects, in space of 1,240,992 square metres of public buildings, 145,202 square metres of objects for work, 24,688 square metres of residential buildings, 3,973 square metres of special importance, 753,916 square metres of other and other facilities.

Mustafa's decision by Serbia's leaders was considered illegal and unacceptable.
