Minister Luka confirms Telekom financial situation is bad

Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka said today that the situation in Kosovo Telekom is unstable, but the MZHE and the Government of Kosovo are in the wake of implementation of solutions to overcome this situation. He made these comments during a meeting with European Federation of Employers at Public Services (Eurofedop), Bert Van Caelenberg, who was also accompanied by Telekom Workers' Union Chairman Lamih Balaj.
In this case, Minister Luka has announced Eurofedop's secretary with general developments in the public sector, with particular emphasis on Kosovo Telecom and the importance of social dialogue on handling all issues, especially those of interest to workers.
Support of union and all workers is necessary, even in this case, since the offered solutions are also of interest to workers”, said Minister Luka.
The minister points out that there have been continued meetings with the union and expressed full readiness of the MZHE and the Government to co-operate and support social dialogue as the most efficient mechanism for overcoming all issues of general interest.
While Caelenberg argued that the situation in Kosovo Telecom is quite difficult, demanding that institutions find a favourable solution for all of them and all these issues be guided through social dialogue.
